Public Engagement Round 2 (Summer 2024)

Update

Over the course of summer 2024, staff engaged in robust dialogue with the public and stakeholders across the nine-county Bay Area. The intent of this engagement was to:

  1. Share the outcomes from the Draft Blueprint analysis, as well as the Draft Transit 2050+ Network;
  2. Seek feedback on the challenges identified through the Draft Blueprint analysis and input on the initial Transit 2050+ recommendations and Draft Network; and
  3. Identify early priorities for implementation to inform the development of the Plan Bay Area 2050+ Implementation Plan.

The full report on summer 2024 engagement, including key findings, were presented to the MTC Planning Committee on November 8, 2024

Pop-Up Workshops

MTC-ABAG staff travelled across the nine Bay Area counties to speak to community members and gather input that informed the development of the Plan Bay Area 2050+ Final Blueprint.

Survey

Staff conducted a survey in parallel with the pop-up workshops, giving participants the opportunity to weigh in on the development of the Draft Blueprint without having to attend an event in-person. The survey was conducted in Chinese, English, Spanish and Vietnamese from August 8 to September 9, 2024.
